This 2.7-mile hike strolls out to a beautiful overlook of one of America’s clearest lakes. In fact, the lake is one of the top ten best lakes for activities like scuba diving in the United States. The Robinson Point Trail gives hikers wonderful views and access to the lake. The Robinson Point Overlook makes for great picnicking or just observing all that the area has to offer. Norfork Lake is surrounded by land that is owned and managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers. The lake itself has over 550 miles of shoreline and over 22,000 surface acres, all of which attract fi shermen year-round since there are no seasonal closures on the lake. Mild winters don’t usually cause the lake to freeze over either. There are no buildings on the US Army Corps property that surrounds the lake, which helps to preserve the primitive experience sought by many outdoor-recreation enthusiasts.
