The Strait of Georgia trip described can be used either by long distance paddlers traveling the coastal marine trail, from the south or the north, or by paddlers out for day trips. The stretch of coastline from Gibsons north to Egmont along the east side of the Strait of Georgia is known as the Sunshine Coast. It is a region with a mild, dry and semi-Mediterranean climate that has proved attractive to settlement and industry. Despite these pressures, the Sunshine Coast continues to provide a number of superb wilderness experiences for paddlers of all abilities. From the ideal learning environment of Sechelt Inlet to the exposed 32-km (20-mi.) coastline between Gibsons and Sechelt, the Sunshine Coast offers some of the best paddling experiences in southwestern British Columbia. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
