Paddling in English Bay quickly gives you a sense of Vancouver’s beauty. To the north are the often snow-capped mountains, to the east are the forests of Stanley Park, to the south are the beaches of Kitsilano and Jericho, and to the west lie Pacific Spirit Regional Park and the Strait of Georgia. Watching the setting sun reflect off the city’s downtown high-rises as you drift through this idyllic scene is a great way to finish the day. Living in Vancouver blesses the paddler with many things. The finest boats and paddles in the world are made in our own backyard, and many of the best paddling instructors and outfitters are based here. Most importantly, we and our visitors have the ocean on our doorstep, which means we can experience the joy of paddling 365 days a year. This chapter describes just a few of the trips you can take in and around Vancouver.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
