You can paddle the Farmington in summer when other rivers get scratchy. Despite its proximity to large population centers, it remains relatively wild. You should see plenty of wildlife here and lots of tree species. The challenging Pequabuck rarely gets paddled, but it’s a great site for honing paddling skills. We recommend shorter boats.
