Pukaskwa National Park has some of the most striking wilderness shoreline on Lake Superior, but this roadless park can be difficult to see for those who have days and not weeks to spend. This short and mostly sheltered day trip is a good introduction to the scenery of Pukaskwa Park. The sheltered recesses of Pulpwood Harbor have the classic north shore look: gray granite bluffs streaked with lichen and other hardy vegetation. Horseshoe Bay is reminiscent of beaches of the south shore of Lake Superior.
