Little Mulberry Creek is a major tributary of the Mulberry River. The creek rises in Madison County, Arkansas, near the small community of Red Star at an elevation over 2,002 feet and tumbles 19 miles to its confluence with the Mulberry River. Some paddlers have run the 5 miles above Spoke Plant (the put-in as described here), but the access is tough and there is a potential for conflict with landowners. Expect a narrow creek with willows and downed trees. Scouting all blind turns is highly recommended on this route. Good boat control and class III experience are prerequisites. Little Mulberry Creek sees few paddlers, but it is worth the effort to make the trip.
