The Little River, a tributary of the Ochlockonee, is formed a few miles above FL 12 by the convergence of the Willacoochee and Attapulgus Creeks. It ?ows into the Ochlockonee at Lake Talquin. It is possible to put in at FL 12, but the access is poor and the upper section of the river is characterized by many pullovers and shallow water in all but the wettest seasons. Further, both sides of the riverbank are owned by private hunting clubs that not only discourage its usage but also make it somewhat hazardous during hunting season. This is also true of much of the lower, more runnable section, but the river is wider, deeper, and easier to maneuver, making a pleasant trip in the spring and early fall.
