North Rustico Harbour is an excellent point from which to launch for paddling in Rustico Bay or along the north shore. The bay is sheltered by Robinsons Island, which is part of Prince Edward Island National Park. Even though Robinsons Island serves as a protective barrier from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the harbor and bay can be windy and choppy. North Rustico Bay can provide several alternative paddles. In addition to the coastal trips described below, the bay itself can lead you inland past the small communities of Cymbria and Rusticoville, home of the first bank on the Island. If the tide is on the rise or high, you could paddle up the Wheatley River past an extensive mussel farm. You can spend numerous hours exploring the bay before returning to the launching area at North Rustico Harbour beach. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
