The Melozitna provides an excellent float for a family or for those who want to take a long trip in a remote, rarely traveled region of abundant wildlife, where you're likely to encounter few or no other people. The Melozitna flows out of the Ray MountainS and meanders in a southwesterly direction for 270 miles before entering the Yukon River opposite the village of Ruby. Clear and free-flowing, the river is slow and winding, except for the lowest section where it flows through a canyon.
