This fascinating trip is less difficult than it first appears. On it you pass through an assortment of beautiful settings and have the opportunity to see wildlife, including whales, porpoise, seals, and sea lions. You will cruise by black bears, river otters, mink, Sitka black-tailed deer, and if you are lucky, wolves on the shore. In July and August there are ample opportunities for picking blueberries and red huckleberries. Eagles and waterfowl are abundant. When I made this trip, there were loons everywhere. Trip Highlights: Varied topography, scenic views, and abundant wildlife. Rocky Pass in Keku Strait is typically a quiet and peaceful lake-like protected area.
