Delamar Mountain stands 8,398 feet tall on the divide separating the Holcomb Creek drainage from Big Bear Lake. From its rocky, forested summit, you are rewarded with a superb panorama of the central San Bernardinos, with sparkling-blue Big Bear Lake immediately to the south and Holcomb Valley’s historic gold country right below to the north. This trip follows a stretch of the Paci?c Crest Trail (PCT) for 2 miles, then climbs the east ridge of Delamar Mountain through an open forest of Je?rey pine and white ?r. Since part of it is trailless, wear boots with deep tread.
