This hike follows the Eureka Mines Trail from the main kiosk to the sealed mouth (or portal) of the Ishkooda No. 13 Mine. Standing at the fi lled-in mine entrance, you can start to imagine what mining on the mountain looked like and appreciate the monumental nature of these enterprises. From here, you either return the way you came in or, for a longer hike, continue northeast on the Ike Maston Trail to the Ishkooda No. 14 Mine. From there, you can return via the No. 14 Mine Spur and the BMRR South Trail.
