Vancouver is a beautiful city, with numerous parks, vistas, and city views. Bike paths crisscross the city. Cyclists in Vancouver—and there are a lot of them—ride well out in the center of the lane and seem oblivious to traffic. As a one-time visitor, you probably will not have time to achieve that kind of confidence in the drivers. You will also be faced with routefinding on streets that wind over and around rolling hills, requiring careful attention to book and map. If you get off route, ask a local cyclist. Several city parks provide opportunities along the way to stop, rest frazzled nerves, and take in the outstanding views. The largest is Stanley Park, located on a point at the edge of English Bay. It has a children’s zoo, an aquarium, totem poles, hiking trails, and a bike route on the water’s edge. With a perfect view over sparkling water to the city’s skyline and towering snow-capped mountains beyond, the park is popular with local residents and visitors alike. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
