Located in the northern foothills of the Sandias near the town of Placitas; about 20 miles north of Albuquerque. This short piece of singletrack is on the eastern side of Forest Road 445. You will follow what is left of old mining roads that lead to a small creek and some interesting red cliffs. Early morning light enhances the scenery. Note: You can create a loop out of this ride by continuing out on the gravel road to Forest Road 231 and returning on paved New Mexico 165. Check the map for details. 3.6 miles on singletrack with short sections of doubletrack.
