You will find wonderful, high-alpine scenery on this loop. Heading up the ridge on Forest Service Road 144 you’ll have excellent views to San Antonio and Redondo Peaks and down into San Antonio Canyon below. This loop allows you to do some easy cruising at a high elevation. Down Oat Canyon on the Rio Cebolla is the Seven Springs Fish Hatchery, where you can take a tour of the ponds. It’s interesting to see what goes into keeping fish on the end of everybody’s line. Farther along on your return trip you will pass by the community of Seven Springs.
