This cruise takes you on a fast loop through the farm, ranch, and ranchette country northeast of Boulder. It’s a flatland favorite. Terrain: As flat as it gets for these parts. Flats and false flats spiced with rolling hills. Traffic and hazards: Traffic volume is heavy along U.S. Highway 36 and Highway 119 (the Diagonal), and speeds are high. Shoulders along both stretches, however, are plenty wide. 75th Street has moderate traffic and can feel narrow when cars are passing in both directions. The portion of the loop within Boulder is along established bike routes with segregated bike lanes.
