The Coyote Song Trail offers an easy and short ride through wide-open meadows below the Rocky Mountain foothills. The route travels along wide singletrack as it passes intriguing red rock formations. After connecting with a paved bike path, riders descend on a dirt road. From the dirt road, riders connect to the Lyons Back singletrack that crosses a low-lying ridge of Lyons Hogback. From the ridge top it’s a moderately rocky descent to the wide singletrack that returns you to your vehicle. When combined with the riding in Deer Creek Canyon, located just up the road, riders can extend their route to more than 14 miles. Terrain: Singletrack, dirt road, paved bike path for mostly smooth riding through meadows and over a hogback, passing red rock formations along the Rocky Mountain foothills.
