With 2,130 acres and 11.1 miles of trails to its credit, Mount Falcon Park delivers some of Denver’s finest singletrack. The park’s multi-use trail system leads visitors to a variety of historical sites and overlooks: the Summer White House ruins, the remains of John Brisben Walker’s castle in the mountains, Eagle Eye Shelter, and the panoramic views of Mount Evans and the Continental Divide, the Great Plains, and Red Rocks Park. Riders cross meadows and gullies and pass red sandstone boulders on their climb up Mount Falcon. Picnic tables and rest rooms are provided at trailheads. Terrain: Singletrack and doubletrack, mostly on smooth, hard-packed dirt; some rocks and roots with which to contend through semi-arid conditions.
