Trail 409 is a Crested Butte classic. Tight, technical singletrack; steep, technical uphills; beautiful views; wildflowers; and singletrack riding through stands of beautiful aspens—this ride has it all. Do yourself a favor and do this ride. I describe this ride as a point to point with a car shuttle. Leave one car at the Brush Creek trailhead and the other at the Farris Creek trailhead on Cement Creek Road. Feel free to pedal the 8.9 miles back to Crested Butte from the Farris Creek trailhead. Tread: 7.6 miles on singletrack and 2.8 miles on doubletrack.
