A great bike tour that travels up, down, and through some of the most beautiful parts of the West Elk Mountains. Wildflowers, old mining sites, and spectacular scenery are just some of the highlights on this ride. The town of Crystal is the site of the famous Crystal Mill, one of the most photographed scenes in Colorado. This is a big ride, so be prepared. The weather can change quickly, so bring rain gear. The Crystal Canyon is a narrow, rock-lined canyon cut by the waters of the Crystal River. This is quite an impressive place. Tread: 7.4 miles on paved roads and 30.6 miles on doubletrack.
