This ride is a climber's dream or nightmare (depending on your point of view). A continuous climb out of the prairie to the forested trail system atop Mount Falcon Park gives the rider great views of the Front Range. Novice riders may forego the steep climb and start directly on top and enjoy the many easy loop trails. Terrain: Sandy hardpack with occasional small loose rocks, steps and waterbars. As the Castle Trail turns south into the pines, a series of steps are encounter just before reaching a shelter and completion of the steep climbing (2.7). The trail grade moderates, now on wider trail and smoother surface to the Walkers Dream ruins (3.2). After considering the many ride loops, return via the same route and remember to check your speed and give your hands a rest on the way down.
