The Charlton Trail is a four-mile point-to-point stretch of single-track trail suitable for riders of all skill levels. The trail surface is fairly uniform, posing no technical problems for beginners, but involves enough climbing to challenge more experience cyclists. Beginners may have to walk their bikes for short stretches, but they will be rewarded by panoramic views from the high points on the two ridges traversed by the trail. In addition to the wildlife normally seen in the Ouachitas, you may also spot waterfowl attracted by the waters of Lake Ouachita. This trail is located 20 miles west of Hot Springs.
