This 34-mile trail system offers cycling for riders of all skill levels in its two loops. Wandering over the shoulders and summits of Mount Magazine and Huckleberry Mountain on 5 miles of gravel roads and 29 miles of old logging roads and wide ATV tracks, the trail shows the best the Ozarks have to offer, from high mountain vistas to cooling stream fords in deep hollows. These trails are located 40 miles west of Russellville. The Huckleberry Mountain Loop, marked with orange blazes and Carsonite posts, is much tougher. Riding its entire perimeter gives bikers an 18-mile loop, with several challenging climbs and numerous crossings of Shoal Creek. A cut-off trail divides it into a more difficult and technical 15-mile western loop and a 9.5-mile eastern loop that is just challenging enough to give beginners a great ride. The Huckleberry Mountain Horse Trail has everything that makes mountain biking great.
