Devil's Den State Park is mountain bike heaven. The park management enthusiastically supports the sport of mountain biking, and most trails in the park are open to cycling. The two loops most used by mountain bikers are the Fossil Flats Trail, an easy three-mile loop that is excellent for beginners, and the Holt Road Loop, a ten-mile double-track over rocky terrain. Trails in the park meander along the rock-lined creek, follow the ridges above the stream, and climb or descend the steep hills between the creek's tributaries and the ridges that rise above them. These trails are located 26 miles south of Fayetteville.
