Jonathan Dickinson State Park is 11,500 acres of flatwoods scrubland east of Hobe Sound, containing hiking trails as well as Loxahatchee River access, camping, and concessions. The Loxahatchee is the only federally designated Wild and Scenic River in Florida. The river is on the western side of the park and available for boating and fishing activities. The Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge is just north and across U.S. 1 from the park. Trails: Paved park roads, 5.0 miles; paved nonmotorized bike path, 1.5 miles; dirt double tracks, 8.0 miles.
