There are some pretty rides in this popular family park, but they’re not very long and some are too sandy. The ride on the paved entrance road passes through some of the finest virgin wetland hardwood hammock in the world. It’s spectacular! This is my favorite single visual area in any park in the state. The unpaved trails are relatively good, except those that allow horses. The animals break through the top surface of the trails, which makes for very uncomfortable and difficult bicycle riding. Trails: Paved road, 3.0 miles; dirt double track, 8.5 miles.
