This trail is located in Inverness County, just a mile or so south of the southern boundary of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The ride is a 20-mile out-and-back excursion that will consume all of either a morning or an afternoon. However, the network of trails you will be following offers unlimited options for both shortening or lengthening the ride, particularly for the sake of exploring some of the side trails and interconnecting snowmobile routes. Riders should be cautioned that not all of the snowmobile trails depicted on the maps of the area can be traversed in the summer: bogs, rivers, and streams cannot always be negotiated by mountain bike. For example, Snowmobile Trail 930, which is shown as a link trail to Trail 940, is not a maintained or even passable trail in the summer. Be aware that the weather can change quickly, and never ride beyond the point that you will be able to comfortably turn around and retrace you path back to the trailhead. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
