This trail is located in Kedgwick, in northern New Brunswick. This ride follows a logging road from downtown Kedgwick all the way to the east bank of the Restigouche River. The ride is long, 27 miles out to the river and back, but requires no advanced technical skills. In fact, the relatively easy terrain makes this ride a good choice for an overnight camping trip. Most of the ride follows well-maintained logging roads, along which it is no disadvantage to be riding with racks and panniers. As you near the river, leaving behind the cleared areas of recent cutting, the trail closes in and becomes more difficult to navigate. Nevertheless, this short stretch of the trail can still be handled with a loaded bike, and the rewards are many: you will reach the Restigouche River, which meanders through a deep forested valley, and a beautiful site ideal for camping.
