Mount Carleton Provincial Park is located in north-central New Brunswick. The summit of Mount Carleton has all the rugged, windswept character that you would expect of the highest peak in the Maritimes. At 2,690 feet above sea level, the summit is one of the few places in New Brunswick where a rigorous climb will reward you with the exhilarating feeling of being on top of the world. This ride begins at the base of Mount Carleton, in the middle of the wooded wilderness of Mount Carleton Provincial Park. The trail climbs 2.75 miles to the summit, creating an 5.5-mile out-and-back excursion. Expansive views across a wilderness landscape that extends as far as the eye can see. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States.
