This trail is located on Comox Lake west of Courtenay. This ride is a great roller coaster through a combination of open deciduous forest and dark, damp, cedar-hemlock woods. It rolls along the Puntledge River, over several bridges of varying quality, and over a trail with a unique collection of man-made and natural obstacles. Climb over the back of an abandoned car, cross a bridge made of log cookies, and roll past an old toilet bowl mounted on an elevated wooden stump. This is B.C. backcountry, a place where anything can (and does) occur. The trail is under redevelopment as the old trail is being rerouted to stay farther away from the river. This means that the route may be a bit more nebulous over the next little while.
