This trail is located in North Vancouver at the north end of the Mountain Highway. Mountain Highway takes you 9.4 kilometres (5.64 miles) up a winding doubletrack ending at the boundary to the Grouse Mountain ski area. Along the climb, as you wind your way through seven switchbacks, a number of singletrack runs drop away to the right and left. Once you pass the final switchback, the views begin to open up, with some exquisite views toward Burrard Inlet and Lion's Gate Bridge. Although many riders use this trail strictly as an access to singletrack descents, it is a great ride in its own right. It offers beginner and intermediate riders a great workout and rewarding views near the turn-around point. On the way down, you get your own brand of downhill- but avoid going too fast or you'll risk smearing riders grinding their way uphill. Excellent views toward the city of Vancouver and the Lion's Gate Bridge. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
