This trail is located within the city of Vancouver. The Jericho Beach trail is flat and winding, skirting the south margin of English Bay. It is a 10-km (6 miles one-way) out-and-back trail that follows a combination of good gravel and pavement. It's a perfect ride for families preferring a scenic, seaside roll. Views to the north include English Bay, with many ships anchored offshore. Along the shoreline, eagles, herons, gulls, and crows search for an easy meal at low tide. They can be seen picking at the barnacle-covered rocks or taking advantage of the shallow water to fish. On a hot summer day, the beaches are crowded and noisy. Locals descend on the beaches like the herons to low tide. At this time, the ride can be an obstacle course of joggers, cyclists, and dog walkers. The wind off the water helps to keep the ride a bit cooler in the hot sun. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
