This ride is an excellent afternoon excursion that leaves you plenty of time to enjoy an evening show at the Stratford Festival. Beginning along the banks of the Avon River, the tour quickly leaves Stratford behind and follows Harmony Road through the lush rolling farmlands of Perth County. It passes through the town of St. Marys, with its many architecturally superb stone buildings, before heading out of town on the former Grand Trunk Railway. The return route follows another peaceful country road through the hamlet of Avondale before joining the Stratford riverbank trail on its loop around Lake Victoria. Surface: Asphalt, some gravel and several kilometers of hard-packed rail bed. Bicycle Type: Touring/Hybrid/Mountain.
