The trail lies south of Elkwater Lak4e and west of Ferguson Hill Road. This moderately easy 5.7 out-and-back trail provides numerous loop options. The trail has a good surface for much of its length, but there are a few wet sections near the lower trailhead. It is done best in an uphill direction, beginning in the Beaver Creek Campground. The forest cover is a mixture of aspen and old-growth spruce. The spruce trees are covered in a stringlike lichen known as old man's beard. The trail also takes you past some beaver ponds providing a great opportunity to see this industrious animal, along with other wetland residents. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
