some rides evoke long-past memories, and this 7.3-mile out-and-back doesn't disappoint. Along with the imagined magic of this ride, its physical beauty excels. Following Bovin Creek toward its source on Bovin Lake takes you past a pleasant waterfall as the runoff begins its long journey to the ocean. While the water flows to your left, the landscape to your right is somewhat parched. The sun-baked slopes of this valley support a diversity of wildflowers that have adapted to live on its arid slopes. Some of these floral residents include stonecrop, lupine, cinquefoil, bedstraw, aster, sticky geranium, yellow columbine, and spiraea. The valley ends at a tiny tarn, Bovin Lake.
