Hospital Creek Road climbs from the area above Golden, British Columbia, high up into the western slopes of the Canadian Rockies. Along this 12.96-mile out-and-back, you get many views of the surrounding peaks and pass some lush growth along avalanche slopes. Along the way, you traverse many recent clear-cuts that show varying amounts of growth. The views are pleasant, with the ride out focusing on Moberly Peak to the west and the lower slopes of the Rockies to the north and east. Once you turn your bike downhill, you get good views of the Dogtooth Range of the Purcell Mountains on the opposite side of the valley.
