The trail is located east of Jasper, Alberta. This trail is an ideal ride for beginner to intermediate cyclists looking for a pleasant gradient with some challenges. The 13.5-mile loop trail can be lengthened by 9.6 miles by continuing on to Wabasso Lake farther south. The trail begins by climbing part of the way to Old Fort Point, one of the most commanding views of the Jasper town site area. You may want to park your bike and make a short detour to enjoy the view. From this point, the trail continues on past some excellent views of Mount Tekarra to the left. Before you know it, the first of the lakes rolls into view to the right. Stay to the left at a junction prior to the first lake. This takes you on the high route providing views from above all of the lakes in succession. at the last lake, you have the option of continuing on to Wabasso Lake or exiting to the highway. A final paved run brings you back to the trailhead.
