This trail travels from the town of Banff and follows the Spray River to its source in the Spray Lakes. It finishes at the Mount Shark Trailhead in Kananaskis Country Provincial Recreation Area. If you enjoy riding fire roads, don't miss this one. Traveling the Goat Creek Trail gives you a taste of the smooth grade of this former fire access route. Most of the fire roads in the Rockies have been made redundant by the advent of the helicopter, so they have been relegated to non-motorized traffic only. This wide gravel road provides you with 32 miles of excellent point-to-point or out-and-back riding. Before you decide to ride this trail, keep in mind that it may be closed to riding by the time you arrive in the area. Call to check status first.
