The trail is located along Powderface Creek Trail along the boundary between foothill and mountain. This trail can be ridden on its own or as part of an extended ride by incorporating Cox Hill Ridge. It is a point-to-point trail, but Powderface Trail Road provides handy loop access back to your vehicle. The trail condition is good singletrack for the entire route and will be an enjoyable ride for intermediate to expert riders. The gradient is steep and the trail challenging, but the views are worth it. The Jumpingpound Ridge section runs for 4.4 miles along the ridge top with intermittent stretches through the trees. The ridge is heavily windswept with a little stunted vegetation. In spring and early summer, wildflowers find shelter in the rocks and explode into a variety of colors.
