Canmore sits in an incredible mountain valley along the banks of the Bow River. To the west, the long range of Mount Rundle, the rolling summit of Ha Ling Peak (formerly Chinaman's Peak), and the triple summit of Three Sisters dominate the horizon. To the east, the summits of the Fairholme Range glisten in the evening sunlight. Throughout this route, the open views showcase this glorious country. While the trail is flat and level, the surrounding landscape is anything but. The trails around the town of Canmore offer a great way to experience the landscape around this fast-growing mountain town. The distance can be varied according to your tastes and levels of ambition. The route makes a 5.14-mile figure-eight that showcases the most popular sections of these trails.
