This hike explores the only national park in Connecticut, as well as the only national park in the country dedicated to American painting. First tour the historic site, where thousands of works of art were produced—its homes, art studios, and farm buildings. The hike then takes off through woods replete with rock walls from early American farms before reaching Weir Pond. From there visit a little waterfall and then make an elongated loop through rocky woods. Circle around the rest of Weir Pond before backtracking to Weir Farm for an encore visit. Additional hiking trails are available.
