The Black Creek Trail connects Black Point Park and Marina in Homestead to Larry and Penny Thompson Park in Miami. At Black Point Park, you can enter Biscayne National Park via a short, quarter-mile gravel trail that leads directly to the Atlantic Ocean. Thin-tire bikes need to be walked through this gravel section, which is well worth the effort for the open-water views of Biscayne Bay. The public marina also has restrooms and a restaurant; be sure to bring a bike lock as bikes are not permitted inside the deck area. The restaurant also provides good views of the water, where manatees and alligators coexist.
