Lower Lake Campground is the biggest and most crowded. Pines Campground is much smaller and a little more open. Pickerel Point is on a spit of land extending into Promised Land Lake and provides larger sites with more space between them on the shoreline; adjacent Deerfield is a loop with primitive amenities. Pickerel Point also features full-service electric, water, and sewage hookups; that’s a first for the state park system. There are a lot of woods here. Promised Land comprises 3,000 acres and is surrounded by more than 12,000 acres of Delaware State Forest. That means lots to do, both on water and on land.
