This park, which also has 6 rustic cabins for rent, has been home to the annual High Country Arts and Crafts Fair for a quarter century. Put on by the local Elks Club, it features food, trolley rides, entertainment, and craft vendors. No pets are allowed at this campground. If you’re into fishing, you could spend a lot of time walking small streams and casting for native trout without ever having to hit the same water twice. And if you want to hike, you can follow the North Fork and Rattlesnake Trails out of the park and into Moshannon State Forest, from where you can spin off in many directions.
