There are 2 campgrounds to choose from here; Lakeside and Hillside. Lakeside Campground, as the name implies, is closer to the water, which means you can roll out of bed in the morning and fish. But you might also have boaters within casting distance. Hillside Campground is more private but just a walk away from the lake and its recreational facilities. You can register for programs that teach you how to kayak and fly fish, take you on a guided hike to learn tree and wildflower identification, and teach you new skills for cooking in camp. The park even shows movies in its amphitheater and makes games available for loan at its beach area—anything to get children and families into the park, where they can be introduced to nature.
