Tidal Information: 9.35-foot mean tidal range on Damariscotta River. Floods north, ebbs south. Fisherman Island Passage floods east.
Hazards/Cautions: These islands are exposed to the open ocean and whatever conditions it may bring, particularly around the south end of Damariscove Island. The ledges past the southwest tip of Damariscove (labeled “The Motions” on the chart) can have especially rough conditions. Fishermans Passage has plenty of boat traffic, including large tour boats.
