Tidal Information: 10.39-foot mean tidal range at Fort Point. Ideally, launch on a falling tide and return on a rising tide.
Hazards/Cautions: There are some wide-open stretches of water here with plenty of fetch to the south. Tidal current speeds up enough to make tidal planning worthwhile, keeping in mind that an ebbing tide will often enough oppose the prevailing southwest winds, producing a chop.
