Activity Type: Sea Kayaking
Nearby City: Cutler
Distance: 8-9 nautical miles

Tidal Information: 13.73-foot range at Cutler Harbor. Floods to the northeast. Strong mid-tide currents. Planning for current-assist is crucial. Near-shore eddies tend to oppose dominant, offshore current.
Hazards/Cautions: Conditions may quickly change from serene to extremely challenging, dangerous seas. Paddlers here must have advanced skills and judgment. The strong currents, exposure to open ocean, and steep shoreline sets the stage for chaotic conditions that can develop quickly, leaving paddlers in rough water, miles from the nearest potential bailout. If you’re unsure of your abilities or conditions, don’t attempt this route.
