This hike traverses three neighborhoods in just 4 miles: Glen Park, Diamond Heights, and Noe Valley. The route starts with a quick walk through Glen Park to reach sixty-acre Glen Canyon Park, a major highlight of this area of the city. Once in the park, you’ll take the new Coyote Crags Trail to walk high above the canyon. Then, you’ll explore Duncan-Castro Open Space and the stairways of Noe Valley. As you meander into Diamond Heights, you’ll explore Harry Street—Diamond Heights’ most epic stairway—and Billy Goat Hill with fantastic downtown views. From there, you’ll take a trail to Walter Haas Playground and finally explore three Glen Park dirt roads that make you feel like you’re in a small town, not a big city.
