Word of this falls rarely escapes this Hudson Highlands neighborhood—but it’s easy to find and lovely in spring. Here in this sparsely settled section of the town of Philipstown, the falls is hidden from view by the hilly landscape and a stone bridge that becomes part of the walk. Expect to run into fallen tree limbs and a number of fairly unsightly man-made structures along the route. You will be rewarded by the short descent to the brook and the view of falling water just beyond. When you visit Indian Brook Falls, please be mindful of the limits of this treasured place. We can continue to enjoy this place responsibly by keeping our visit fairly short to allow others to park in the limited spaces available, resisting the urge to climb on the rocks, and carrying out our trash.
